Community Programs

Community relations is a vital link between our community and the Police Department. Lavon PD is proud to have various community programs running all year long. In addition to participating in nationally recognized programs and partnering with the DEA for the Drug Take Back program, we also participate in local programs like the City of Lavon’s Camp 911; Fall Fest; Baby Sitters Club; and partner with SafeKids Greater Dallas to operate the Lavon Area Fitting Station (which helps to ensure proper installation of child safety seats).

Our team also runs multiple ongoing programs throughout the year as well, some include Child Fingerprint & DNA kits, Child Picture ID cards, and participation almost monthly in community events.
