The Planning & Zoning Commission considers and makes recommendations to the City Council concerning the systematic development and betterment of the City as related to the planning, zoning and subdivision regulations.

MEETINGS are held at 7pm on the fourth Tuesday of each month. in the Lavon City Hall, 120 School Road. When required, special meetings may be called by the Chair Official meeting notices and agendas are posted at City Hall o and on this website at least 72 hours prior to each meeting. Lavon residents and visitors are welcome to attend. Since schedules are subject to change, please verify the meeting date and time by visiting this website or by contacting City Hall prior to attending.

ORGANIZATION The commission consists of five (5) members who are appointed by the City Council for two-year terms of office. Places 1, 3, and 5 are appointed in odd-numbered years, and Places 2 and 4 in even-numbered years. Terms begin in July of each year.
